New to Letting?

Let us, help you find a new home, here’s where to start:

You will have several outlays prior to moving into your new home - the best place to start is by setting your budget to include your deposit and first months' rent, removals and furnishings.

Once you have moved into your new home, you will have regular outgoings which you need to factor into your monthly budget; these include your rental payments each month, council tax, gas and electricity plus any additional services including telephone, internet and digital TV including television licence.

When viewing suitable properties ask the correct questions!

1. How much is the rent per month and what is included in the rent?
2. How much deposit is required
(a maximum deposit equivalent to two months’ rent is permitted to be requested in Scotland)
3. Where will my deposit be protected?
4. What notice am I required to give to end a tenancy?
5. Whom should I contact in case of emergency?
6. What items come with the property? Cooker, white goods, window coverings, floor coverings?
